I invite you to join me in my minecraft world "Orion's Corner". Having played in Orion's Corner for several years, and over several versions, I have already amassed quite a few places of interest you may want to visit and make use of. In this blog, I will give a virtual tour. So lets get started.

The Pagoda
This is the Pagoda. It is the hub of all my activities and centres as a house, storage, food preperation area... you know the lot. It has burned down.... 4 times? yeah it took me a while to learn "Don't store lava under the wooden house".

Anyway this is my house, so build your own.

Underneath the pagoda are sleeping quarters and storage

The left image shows the door to a strip mine and my dog.
The right image is the railtrack to the main station (see later). The chest has spare minecarts, just place one on the diagonal powered track and push the button.

This is the alchemy laboratory (unfinished) and nether portal. The nether is already somewhat developed.
Enchanting Table & More

This image shows the four auto-ovens (put fuel in them, and they can automatically smelt several stacks of items). Between them is a doorway leading to the Enchanting table.

Here is the enchanting table. It is surrounded by a full set of books powering it up. However, if you don't want a fully powered enchanting table, the switches near the ceiling allow you to remove one/two/four/eight bookshelf blocks, allowing binary style counting meaning any enchantment table level can be achieved.
The spade in the picture frame is called Neil. He is my only friend.
Outside the Pagoda
Directly outside of the pagoda are several other areas of interest.

This little farm is equipped with automatic night-lanterns and the very latest in auto-harvesting. You flick a switch in the hut, and the corn is automatically harvested by water. (you need to flick the lever twice, wait a moment, then flick twice more). The gathered corn will be found below the house, as transferring stuff upwards sucks.

Two of these towers can be found nearby, one near the farm, one within the keep (see further on). Each contains a monster spawner that has funnels monsters into a monster killing machine.

This place is The Keep. I have been building a walled keep here. To the right is an unfinished tower. The group of small houses that make up the village in the centre could do with a themed rebuild, 'cos dey ugly. In the bottom left you can just see the animal farm, and bottom centre is the station.

The Keep from another angle. There is space below this layer, maybe to build a pub? There is a well in the centre, currently covered over.

Here is the Keep, showing the dock region. It really needs more, less ugly houses.
Far behind the keep, on top of the mountain, is a Lodge retreat.

The retreat has a roaring fake-fireplace and several cosy bedrooms. Unfortunatly, as it was made before clouds were introduced into the game, it is also now filled with clouds.

This is the sheep hole. No explanation is needed.

The animalfarm for breeding, along with a stable (on the right) and behind it a tree farm with a few varieties of tree. The absolutely awful chicken battery farm was created by my friend Keebo. What a terribly cruel human being.

Within this horse jail/stable is a horse who killed me and a friend several times. He deserves horse jail. He is a bad horse.
The Station
This is the jewel in all the things I have created. A station, where you call a cart, get in, and go somewhere.

The entrance has turnstyles, and the train can go several places!

Pick a destination by turning on a level (towards you). The first lever selected from the left will be your location. Next get in the cart and push the button!

Weee!!!
The Iron Farm

This next place is the Iron Farm. Iron is hard to get hold of, and requires lots of mining, so instead I spent a week making this monstrosity! I did around 2/3rds of it legit, but then finished off a few bits with creative. All the villagers were shipped in by hand, which was a b****!
When working, the iron farm automatically creates an Iron Golem, which drops down and collects in the glass area seen in the left image. When the lever is pulled, the golems die, and iron is collected! Huzzah! This seems to have a few problems in the latest minecraft version, and will need some refinement.
So, there is actually more to find than just this, a nether to explore, and several further flung homes. But for now, this will do.
If you would like to join my little world, feel free. Take some food, find some bits and get building. Go on a hunt for more diamonds. Go explore a new place, set up a new town, build in your image and then create the train link back!!!
Just be friendly, don't grief, and we'll all get along.
